Corey Hutchison’s experience and first-hand success as an individual contributor
sales executive and as a senior sales manager combine with
the insight he gained as CEO of a company operating in the
fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly solution oriented enterprise
software and application service businesses. Corey’s
high energy, motivating personality and his natural affinity
for effective communication, human interaction and team building
prove he knows how to deliver individual results and results
through others.
Corey's initial sales responsibilities were with IBM
selling mainframe hardware, software and service solutions
to the
petroleum industry. His responsibilities at IBM later included
leading a thirty-eight person sales team responsible for
$38 million in sales to IBM’s strategic account Atlantic
Richfield Company
Corey joined Platinum Technology Incorporated and
covered eight states as an individual sales contributor.
He was
Platinum’s Salesperson of the Year a year later.
He was quickly promoted to sales management responsibilities
as Regional Vice President and then Senior Vice President
responsible for all sales operations in thirteen states.
When Platinum was acquired by Computer Associates, Corey
joined Cognos Software as an Area Vice President of Sales
with responsibilities for pre-sales, sales, marketing,
consulting and education in thirteen states and all of
Western Canada. He was named Most Valuable Player at Cognos
in his first year.
As Chief Executive Officer of Aqueduct from 2000 to
2002, Corey quickly developed a start-up outsourced e-commerce
service provider into a leader in its category. He accomplished
this by re-branding the company, securing financing for
the company’s growth from venture firms, reducing
costs and increasing revenues by 80% over eighteen months.
Corey’s passion for selling is palpable. He
is a firm proponent of proven professional selling methodology
and hiring the best as the foundation for selling success.
As a result, Corey founded Playbook Management Consulting
indulging his passion by assisting management in companies
looking to establish effective direct selling organizations
or to improve the effectiveness of their existing sales
organizations through process audit, management consulting
and education/training.
Corey is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
He has written a book titled "Sales
Audit", which
showcases his clear competency in effective sales management
processes.
